No Ben Jacobson? and I think Nate Funk deserved more votes.

Jeff you are obviously an MVC fan. We assure you that Jacobson was considered in the voting and Chris was lobbying for more votes for Funk.

Haha, I'm no MVC fan...I'm very neutral..those two players just jumped out at me..I also think guys like Nik Caner-Medley, Chris Quinn, Greg Brunner, Jeff Horner, Vedran Vukusic, Jason Smith, Dan Grunfeld, Matt Haryasz, Matt Witt, Brendan Winters, Derek Raivio, Daniel Kickert...are all better than half the guys you have on that list (McRoberts?)

We considered all of the players you mentioned in your list. But again, we had to pick 10. And it's almost impossible to argue our list. Our 10 show up every night. Caner-Medley has had terrible games, especially when he is the "go-to" guy in an offense.

Jason Smith is averaging 21 and 10 per game...Vukusic goes for 24 a game..Raivio: 16 and 4 assists..Haryasz puts up 17 and 12 per contest..they don't seem to take nights off..

Pittsnogle is overrated..he is one dimensional, and in two of the biggest games of the season, he mailed it in..9 and 6 against Texas, and 8 and 3 against LSU..he is not good against talented big men..

Gansey..that 7-point, 1 assist game earlier this season wasn't taking a night off?

Haluska..is shooting 40 percent from the field, thats not good..

I'm not saying that your picks are way off, I just don't see how some of these players made the list over Smith, Haryasz, and Raivio, and guys like that..Hansbrough is far better than McRoberts at this point..and Chris Hernandez is hispanic, not white...I don't know if that changes anything..

Hernandez is definitely not white.

Hispanic or not, Hernandez looks white. Either way Hispanic's aren't known for their basketball talent, just like white people.

Hernandez's 1-9, 3 point effort against UC-Davis makes your "show up every night" comment more ridiculous...or maybe his 4-13 game vs. Montana demonstrated it, or maybe his 4-12 showing against UC-Irvine was a good example.

First off we didn't post the "show up every night comment". We'll be the first to admit that Haryasz has had a better season so far then Hernandez for Stanford. But Hernandez does have two all Pac-10 seasons under his belt.

you didn't post it? "We considered all of the players you mentioned in your list. But again, we had to pick 10. And it's almost impossible to argue our list. Our 10 show up every night."

Who is that, then? A Bracketology 101 wannabe?

By the way, it's VERY easy to argue your list.

We probably should have removed that comment. The only comments from Chris or Craig are ones from bracketology 101. The whole point of the list is for it to be argued and debated.

Jeff said...

alright alright, I agree, it is meant to be argued and debated...that comment that was not from you (apparently) was the one that got me a bit worked up...it just seemed to display a certain degree of arrogance that was undeserved...no offense to you

I agree with Jeff that Ben Jacobson deserves a top 10 espically when Haluska had 3 points and Jacobson had 16 points in the UNI Iowa game

Chet Stachitas of Saint Joe's needs some consideration also. I'd prefer to wait until after the St. Mary's-Gonzaga trip before touting him. However, 17.1 ppg, 50% beyond the arc (19-38), and huge against Kansas.
