The 2008-2009 college basketball season is officially underway, and so is a new season at Bracketology 101. Over the next five months - just as we have for the last five years on this site - we will bring you our projections, insight, and opinions on all things bracket-related. As always, our focus will remain on our weekly bracket, but we will supplement the bracket with fresh editorial content, polls, mailbags, and more.
Our first order of business is our first Field of 65, which is listed below. Our preseason Final Four and national championship picks are also posted.
Enjoy,

Hey guys, it's another year and another season from your favorite FSU fan! Just wanted your take on how you feel FSU will do this year in the ACC.. lots of young talent to be sure, and with Michael Snaer committed for next year, dare I say the future looks bright for Fla. State hoops. My question is, do you think Coach Hamilton can bring the raw talent to fruition? He's had great recruiting classes in many of his years there, but no NCAA appearances. I'd love to hear your thoughts, and look forward to chatting with you throughout the season!
I'm pumped for another year of bball. Really enjoyed tracking your bracket weekly last year. The preseason bracket is interesting for sure! Purdue will win the big 10 this year though, not michigan state.
On FSU, they suck! That said , they have a chance to do ok because outside of Duke, UNC and maybe Wake, so too does the rest of the ACC. Look forward to a great col. bball season though with a banner year in the tourney for Mid-Majors as far as invites because the Big 10, PAC 10 and SEC are also sucking so ACC take heart.
