We're Still Alive...

Just wanted to let all of our readers know that we still exist and that we will have our first bracket of the year up shortly (hopefully before Thanksgiving). Even though out first predictions are not usually out until mid-to-late November, we had planned on posting a bracket a little earlier this season. Unfortunately, Craig has been swamped with Marines work and Chris has been trying to balance college basketball watching with teaching high school English, so we simply haven't had enought time to post anything as of yet.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the games thus far. It's certainly been a good couple of weeks for the little guy (Oral Roberts, Vermont, Winthrop and Sacred Heart in close losses, etc.) and for upsets (most recently Nebraska over Creighton). Hopefully, that parity will continue the rest of the way.

Keep visiting and we'll have our bracket up soon (we promise)...

Hahaha

Like how you guys delete the posts of people who correct your mistakes and show just how unknowledgable you are about basketball.

And I love how much of an idiot you are, not even leaving a name yet insulting these guys at every chance you get...why don't you give me your field of 65, and then say someone is unknowledgeable about basketball.

And before you come back with the sophomoric "why don't you show me yours first".......it wasn't me that said anyone was unknowledgeable about hoops.

Hey neff, when the so-called "experts" who created this blog and edit the posts here discuss the upcoming DePaul-Kentucky game and elaborate on just what a good job Dave Leitao is doing at DePaul, they magnify their utter stupidity and inablity to remember that the man moved onto to the head coaching gig at Virginia nearly a full year and a half ago (and also fail to recall that former Richmond head coach Jerry Wainwirght is now at DePaul... and has been for nearly the same length of time).

I will post my field of 65 when the time comes, but until then, at least i will signify my knowledge and understanding of college basketball with knowing who coaches which teams in the Big East Conference and the ACC.

But at least it is nice to know that someone out there is willing to defend them, even when they are unwilling to do it for themselves.

Nice way to weasel your way out of giving your field.....you were probably one of the many complaining that these guys had not posted their first field of 65, and now you are too scared to do it yourself.....funny.

T-Neff obvioulsy has never heard of internet predators. Hey T-NEff, do you suggest everyone leave their home address & phone number on here? Huh? Answer big shot!

Hmmm, now just who was it who claimed they would "post our pre-season Field of 65, announce our pre-season Final Four picks, and analyze what fans should expect as their teams officially get ready tip-off" on September 17, 2006??

Not me..... wait let me think... umm.....hold on a second... perhaps it was me.... wait....NO....it wasnt me....

And giving a field of 65 doesnt express requisite basketball knowledge... knowing who the head coaches are at Depaul and Virginia are good starters (which thse two guys who SUCK seemed to have forgotten).

Kellie......of course I will answer.

Quite simply, you have taken what I said out of context, which so sadly happens every once in a while, for better or worse.

Did I ever tell anyone to give their name, address, phone number, or any other piece of evidence that would indicate that I am an online predator? No, I did not.

Simply put, all I requested was simple. Chris and Craig are busy with what the general population calls "life", and by the sounds of it, have had very minimal down time.

Then, you have people come on here and criticize the two guys, and in my opinion wrongfully so. Yeah, they are not perfect in the bracket....no one is. So for someone to criticize another person for not doing a good job, and then not showing what they got to back it up, is a little retarded to me.

So simply, I asked that my "friend" here posted his version of the field of 65.

His/Her name? I could care less who they are.

Address? Phone Number? Likewise, I don't care.

So before you come on here and accuse me of being some internet stalker.......actually read what I say, and then come up with something based on that.

All I asked was that a person presented their field of 65, based on the argument that said person had an unjust opinion of Chris/Craig.

So, I guess the "Big Shot" has answered, Kellie.

I think the post about C&C has a good point and a very just opinion. He/she was just pointing out how C&C claimed they would have a preseason field of 65, preseason predictions, and analyze the season before tipoff. Tipoff has come and long gone and still they have not yet posted anything.

If they were not able to post anything, then they either shouldnt have said they would or they should have come on by the start of the season to at least post something about why there was nothing.

In the end, it will be C&C who suffer, because people like me will give up checking back on this blog when all we find when we do is idle bs and posts about why they havent had anything on the start of the season yet.

Furthermore, last season their first bracket was posted on November 15 and the season before, they didnt even post an early bracket because they railed on Katz and Mejia for posting their brackets early (check the archive for November 2004 and November 2005).

Sounds a little hypocritical to me.

TNEFF is 100% wrong. Bracketology 101 should have made preseason picks. Maybe ENEFF is the clown who doesn't know that Jerry Wainwright coaches Depaul.

Hahaha... i find it amusing that Neff would say someone took what was posted "out of context" when he did exactly the same thing to me... equating me being an idiot because I did not leave my name.... and because i criticized Dumb and Dumber for not knowing common basketball info.

BTW Neff, the two morons who monitor this blog are unkowledgable because they make mistake after mistake about basic information that any basketball fan should know, like who is the head coach at DePaul and where former head coach Dave Leitao is coaching...... that fact they BLAST other bracketologists for their selections and yet have a mediocre record of their own of both predicting the correct teams in their bracket and getting the highest % correct in seeding deserves all the criticism they get.

Nice win for Gonzaga over the burger boys from UNC. Recruiting 5 Star players doesn't guarantee wins. Kentucky fans had to feel sick watching Memphis hammer their undermanned Cats. Jasper doesn't look very good when you compare him to Willie Kemp. Greg Hoover & other lackies for Tubby said Kemp was a lock for UK. 2 days later, Kemp committed to Memphis. UK has a severe lack of talent. Jay Bilas was wrong when he said Tubby is a great recruiter.

tick tock tick tock tick tock

Just because Gonzaga beat an overly skilled UNC team doesnt mean they are good. UNC will have to balance out there skill as much as possible during the season. Gonzaga lost to Butler last night

Why doesnt everyone just bail on these guys for a blog that ACTUALLY posts something more than the same old comments instead of promising b.s. to their readers

Kentucky will have a hard time beating teams like UMass & Houston with that weak of talent pool. Jay Bilas kept talking about how wonderful Derrick Jasper is but the truth is guys like Willie Kemp, Javaris Crittedon & Darren Collison are much better. Jay Bilas thinks Tubby is a god or something but Tubby has proven to be a mediocre recruiter & average coach. Joe Crawford hasn't improved 1 bit since coming to Lexington. Crawford needs to learn to be a team player & quit dribbling around aimlessly. As for Ramel Bradley, he is a decent scorer BUT not a good point guard. Bradley does a very poor job of getting his teammates.
Even when Tubby gets 5 star recruits, he gets bad character guys. Rajon Rondo was a horrible teammate & an awful shooter. Randolph Morris wanted to be in the NBA instead of UK. Tayshaun Prince was an overhyped Burger Boy out of High School but never even led UK to a single Final 4 in 4 years. The 1998 championship was with Pitino's players so Tubby doesn't deserve much credit for that.

A great win for Wichita State down in Baton Rouge. The MVC has done well with Missouri State beating Wisconsin the other day also
