Mt. St. Mary's is a better bet for the play-in if the committee doesn't want to match up teams from the historically black conferences.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072987.post-83596699083489258852008-03-16T14:12:00.000-05:002008-03-16T14:12:00.000-05:00UNC will be the no. 1 overall they are the ACC Cha...UNC will be the no. 1 overall they are the ACC ChampsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072987.post-51898940297432655492008-03-16T14:11:00.001-05:002008-03-16T14:11:00.001-05:00It will be UT-Arlington and Coppin State in the pl...It will be UT-Arlington and Coppin State in the play-in game. It's not really fair to a 1 or 2 seed to give them a big conference team like that when there are quite a few dud lower conference winners out there.

The big question is if the NCAA will finally match up a MEAC and SWAC team in the play-in game? Coppin St and Miss Valley St are both 200+ in the RPI and by far the worst 2 teams in the dance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072987.post-12935335806230250272008-03-15T20:46:00.000-05:002008-03-15T20:46:00.000-05:00Put Georgia in the play-in game!Put Georgia in the play-in game!matt rnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072987.post-41918309925510492942008-03-15T20:17:00.000-05:002008-03-15T20:17:00.000-05:00If Georgia holds on to its lead tonight and beats ...If Georgia holds on to its lead tonight and beats Arkansas tomorrow, where the heck do you seed them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072987.post-86662326641528713962008-03-15T19:04:00.000-05:002008-03-15T19:04:00.000-05:00I think Georgetown is a lock 2. The logic of the NCAA is insane!

Where else in all of sports does a regular season champion get told they have qualified for the playoffs. If VCU is out, the NCAA is as political as those running for President of the USA.

Saying VCU's RPI is not good enough is BS. Why doesn't the big boys play VCU in Richmond. None of the teams that are "in" will play VCU at the Altell Pavillion because they know they'll lose - they are not good enough. But politics being politics a 26-7 record is not good enough if you're not in a BCS Conference.

Leaving VCU out say your regular season is a joke. Just win 4 at the end of the year - lose the rest if you want and your good enough to compete against 63 other teams for the "National Championship". What a joke!!VCU_Ramshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00269497440953971081noreply@blogger.com
