They have the hardest schedule in the Big 10, meaning they don't get to feast of bottom dwellers like Michigan did. They only got Iowa and Indiana once (Iowa at home). So with the teams below them now, they split with Illinois, split MSU, got swept by Michigan, swept Northwestern, up 1 on Minnesota (one game left), and beat Iowa and Indiana the only time they got to play them.<br /><br />If you don't look at inter-conference schedule, then you're right to make a case for PSU not to be in. But that is something you must look at. They are 5th in the Big 10 right now.
