In B101's Tourney Challenge group. It's a battle between M. Comisky, C. Fox, and T. Stote for the $50 prize. A Michigan State win gives Fox the win, while Comisky and Stote are pulling for UNC. If UNC does win and it comes down to the tie-breaker, Comisky will be looking for a game in the 60s, while Stote wants one in the 80s.Sorry we haven't made many comments in regards to the tourney, but overall it's been a bit of a disappointment. Is it just us or was Championship Week a lot more exciting?
I think stone will win with a UNC win in the 80's, but yes the tournament has been very boring.....not nearly enough upsets

I think the lack of upsets since 2006 have been a result of the one and done rule. With the end of the prep-to-pro era I think we'll see the major conferences dominate as much as they did back in the 80s and early 90s.
ReplyDeleteI knew it was a mistake to give UConn and Louisville #1 seeds considering how beatable they both looked during the season. Neither team was particularly good at scoring and I don't understand how nobody was talking about MSU's depth going in.
For MSU to win the rematch, Goran Suton, who didn't play last time, has to make a big difference against Hansbrough and MSU has to cut down on the turnovers. If those two things happen, it will come down to has the hotter shooting.
It's not even the lack of upsets, there have been hardly any memorable games. Wisconsin-FSU, Siena-Ohio State, Villanova-Pitt .... Missouri-Memphis was kinda fun to watch ... that's about it. Just a lackluster series of games.
