We'll Be Back...Very Soon

The college basketball season is just days away - and so is the return of Bracketology 101. In the next couple days, we will post our pre-season Field of 65, announce our pre-season Final Four picks, and analyze what fans should expect as their teams officially get ready tip-off.

See you soon...

Have you guys selected your #1 seeds for next year? Mine would be

Florida
North Carolina
Arizona
Kansas

Gee, I can hardly wait to see "CHALK" ..... only place it is more visible is an old one-room schoolhouse.

Lemme guess..... Florida, UNC, Ohio State and Kansas. I will be amazed if you clowns annoint any other team to your top 4 seeds.

Ohio State will not be a number 1 seed. Probaly a 3. Some people are overrating the Buckeyes. Sure they will be a top 10 team, but will not deserve a number 1 seed. Here are my Final 4 predictions

Wisconsin, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Florida

A lot of people are overlooking Georgia Tech. They may struggle early cause of youth but they will be very dangerous come March.

Why didn't Mr. Anonymous sign his name to his insults towards Chris/Craig. I think you guys do a great job. Jay Bilas may love Kansas but Texas A&M will advance farther in March than Bill Self

I don't think Ohio State should be a #1 seed or a Top-10 in the preseason.

They have one (yes, one) returning starter from last season in Jamar Butler.

Yes, they have a phenomenal recruiting class, but Oden is out until January and they really haven't proven anything yet.

I'm not saying they won't be good, but a #1 seed? Top-10? That's overrated.

Natty, Georgia Tech has a chance to be outstanding com March. The Jackets & UNC are strong Final 4 contenders. Here are my ACC big dance predictions.

North Carolina
Georgia Tech
Duke
Virginia Tech
Virginia
Boston College

The SEC will be a beast this year. Alabama is being underrated by the pundits. Bama, LSU, & Florida are all Final 4 contenders. Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, & Vandy all figure to make the big dance. ACC/Big East homers will be crying if the SEC gets 7 teams. oh well, let them cry to Dukie V!!!!!!!

you really think UVA will make the tournament?

i agree that Virginia will make the big dance. They add stud recruits Jamil Tucker & Solomon Tat to that great backcourt lead by Sean Singletary. Plus Dave Leiteo is a very good coach. I think North Carolina is a little overrated. All those burger boy recruits might not mesh into a great team. Roy may have been wiser to recruit more role players & less selfish burger boys.

where are Chris & Craig? The season is about to start!

whos gonna win on sunday? UVA or Arizona

Anonymous said...

I think UVA will win cause the new arena will be rocking. Plus Singletary is a much better PG than Shakur. I look for UVA to win rather easily. But you have to give Zona credit for playing a brutal road game in November.

Bill Self finally woke up! How many chances did Chester Giles get? I was wondering if Self was waiting for Giles to kill someone? Bill Self needs to instill some discipline into his shady program. KU fans are going to lose patience with Self while having to watch Roy win multiple titles at UNC. I bet Roy wins at least 2 more before he retires.

Did anyone tell Bracketology 101 that the season has already started? Where is their mock bracket?

UVA 19 point comeback. Very impressive

yeah, I love how people like pokerplayr say that these guys have "mediocre" picks.......you try to get 62 of the 65 teams in the field, and then say something.

And to answer the question, "Why have they not posted any projections yet?"

They didn't at this time last year, or two years ago at that.

In the 2004 season, their first projections were not made until January.

In '05, it came slightly earlier.....on November 27th.

So while people like Lunardi are making projections now, these guys are sitting back and actually WATCHING the teams play before they say "This team is in, this one out".

i think they quit

They should have made projections before the season started. What the hell are they waiting for?
